A Pause...

We have decided to take 2011 & part of 2012 off from our trip, and so the EcoRoamer is in storage in California and we are with family in the New York City area.

There are three main reasons for this:

1) The Muskoka Foundation, is doing incredibly well with over 150 volunteer travelers now helping us to Do Good on their various overlanding expeditions around the world. This is something we are very passionate about, and so we're spending a lot of time getting that team up and running. Join us at: www.TheMuskokaFoundation.org

2) We have launched a new Mobile Apps startup called: Infinite Monkeys - which enables anyone to create their very own mobile app, for free, without any coding. Try it today at: www.monk.ee

3) After 12 months (2010) in the EcoRoamer, we thought the kids could use some time with their friends back in school. So they are back in the classroom for now, but constantly asking: "How soon can we leave?" - they're very eager to get on the road again.

The Route So Far...

Below is a LIVE map with real-time updates of where we are. Tracking information is provided by our SPOT Device and Google Latitude. (Both great inventions!)

The accuracy of placement and frequency of updating will depend on our access to the Internet...

Planned Route

...and below is another map of the entire world. Notice how each of the continents have lots of countries on them. Notice also, how there is a squiggly red line that seems to cross a lot of those countries and continents. Isn't it pretty? It doesn't really mean anything, and almost certainly won't wind up being the route that we follow, but people really seem to want us to put a little red line somewhere on the map. We think it makes them feel better. (The people, not the little red lines... Oddly, the little red lines seem happy either way!)

Very Pretty Map of the World
