Ban-tut-kaap campsite
[JAY] - We've just come back from a morning hike through this amazing 1.6 million year old virgin rainforest. Supposedly this place is dated as being older and more 'ecologically rich' than the amazon or nile forests. There are elephants, panthers, tigers and the asian black bear. Of course all we saw were leaches and massive bamboo trees. Last night we camped in the park next to the river.

It was so nice and cool compared to the past couple of nights camping on the beach.

Parks really are the best places for us to camp. There are rangers at the gate, so you know your safe and in the mornings there are (extremely cold) showers.

Last night, -inspired by the luxury of phuket- we decided to eat in style: We cracked the Coleman stove for the first time and had clam chowder, smoked oysters and hot milo.

Now, we are enjoying some fresh fruit juice next to the river before today's big drive up to Bangkok. We've decided that We'll explore Southern Thailand on the way home. In the mean time we just want to get north and start heading towards Cambodia!
