DAY 6 - Khao Sok National Park, Thailand

Ban-tut-kaap campsite
[JAY] - We've just come back from a morning hike through this amazing 1.6 million year old virgin rainforest. Supposedly this place is dated as being older and more 'ecologically rich' than the amazon or nile forests. There are elephants, panthers, tigers and the asian black bear. Of course all we saw were leaches and massive bamboo trees. Last night we camped in the park next to the river.

It was so nice and cool compared to the past couple of nights camping on the beach.

day 2 - What I learned today...

Jerai Campsite - Malaysia
It's only the second day of "the trip" -we haven't even left yet- but it has already been a massive eye opener. Yesterday's experience with Steve reminded me to keep my eyes and ears open as we head down "the road less travelled". Today reminded me that this road is usually not the most direct one, but it's full of interesting people and stories if you?re open to them.

It all started poorly.

Day One - Kuala Lumpur to pick up the Land Cruiser

July 23, 2004

Filed: Day 1 - Kuala Lumpur - train from airport

Today is the day! I'm on the train having just landed from Singapore on my way to pick up the Land Cruiser. So exciting! Alice is also on a plane but she's on her way to New York for her mom's birthday. She's not going to be here for this major hurdle of the trip, which is the only bummer of the day.

Cruizer Blogs

In 2004 Alice & Jay took a trip around SE Asia. We kept a blog of our trip, but of course the site we were hosting that with chose to change their platform and we lost most of our entries. (Never use 20six.co.uk btw!)

Below are the few entries we were able to save...
